Bill Evans is the only artist to have been invited to lead his group as many as three Montreux Jazz Festivals.

His two previous apperances were in trio format and both were recorder:the Grammy:winning Bill Evens at

the Montreux Jazz Festival(Verve) and Montreux II(CT).The present album is Bill's second duo recording with

Eddie Gomez,the frist having been Intuition.
